Default NGD Video - Martin D18 (2019)

Just got this guitar from Sweetwater and thought I would show the unboxing and my thoughts on the Sweetwater delivery and inspection process.

I will have a followw-up video next week when I install my pickup of choice.

Thanks for the review.
The D18 is a great guitar.
I like the Newtone Heritage Round Cores. The set is basically a hybrid, close to mediums, but the Round Cores are easier to play. Either those or DR Sunbeam lights which are also Round Cores. The guitar is plenty loud with either.

I enjoyed that. Love box openings. I can live vicariously through the box opener and not have to get another guitar to satisfy that exciting feeling

Plus I already have a D18... Great guitars. Congrats!

Very nice. I bought a 2018 model a week ago. It's so different from an early '00s model I owned, and enormously improved in my opinion. I like how Martin took the good bits from the Authentic to build this version. I note you didn't sight down the neck to check for straightness either before or after adjusting the truss rod. Why? Sorry, but I wouldn't let you anywhere near my guitars! "I'm quite passionate you should know how to use this tool"!

I can do it based on feel and I know that they drift in shipping. Also you notice that I checked the intonation and it was spot on so it’s not a problem.
