Default St. Pete's Blues - Roy Bookbinder

I recently picked up a pair of used Sennheiser MKH40 mics, so I did a few quick recordings. This tune is from Roy Bookbinder, played on my Poling Sierra.

No effects (no EQ, reverb, compression, etc). Also, this was a single take with no editing; my goal was to check out the mics, not to get my best possible recording. No picks - flesh and nail. Strings are quite old - 7 weeks.

I love that, Chuck. I’m a big Roy fan and you nailed it. I don’t know much about recording but I sure do like how you pick that guitar!

Thanks much for listening and giving some feedback Bob. It's nice to find a fan for solo fingerstyle players such as Roy Bookbinder.

Roy deserves more recognition then he gets. I have his Homespun lesson Blues by the Book, and sometimes I'll put it on without my guitar in hand just to hear him talk and play. What a hoot!

Thanks Derek. I really like your recordings, not to mention your composition and playing skills that are fantastic, so your feedback on this recording lets me know I'm going in a good direction and getting closer on occasion.
