The question I always ask myself when faced with these decisions is: when will I ever be [40] again? (The number keeps sliding upward). So I am in the "go for it" camp. If it sounds good, looks good, plays well, and you CAN afford it.....

You will get ravaged by the trade-in value. The shop has to make a profit so they will offer you about half of what they can sell it for USED. Better to sell your Gibson outright, or just have both.

Agree. I got my 314ce new for $1750.

I love my 2019 314ce. It checks all the boxes (for me).
