Default nice video on a 1974 Martin D-28 reset

Lars is an excellent repairman, he makes it look easy. He's very smooth and practiced in his work and the results show.

I went to from this forum and the d-28 neck reset video was

Default Lots of specialist tools...

But a well shot and helpful video. Working on an non-adjustable neck looks a challenge with or without the full Stewmac range.

I did wonder why the nut was glued in place before final shaping. This seemed to require much greater care than would otherwise be the case.

Thanks for this. I found it very soothing watching him work. I've always felt like we don't really own our fine musical instruments but are really caretakers, tasked with enjoying them in our time then passing them along to the next caretaker.

He's a nice guy. I've walked in to his shop here in town and had a few words with him.

i noticed that immediately, but that's because I too have a lot of stewmac tools and I take note every time I'm working on something just how well they perform the job they were designed to do. they are not the cheapest tools and so many times I've thought,"why didn't I think of this and make it" , because the tool is usually a simple design, and it just works.

I'd say most of my shop is filled 90% with stewmac stuff.
