15th fret high
The thread about fret rockers caused me to haul out my trusty Starrett 6” ruler and I discovered that of the three guitars I own, on two of them the 15th fret is high and on one the 17th fret is high.
Is this a common thing and only indicates fallaway? I’ve never noticed any buzzing because playing up that high on the fretboard is a foreign thing to me.

My guess, fall away.

Rocking is only part of the procedure. Slide the ruler toward the bridge, holding the leading edge down. If the end of the ruler does not bump against the fret, it is not likely to cause a buzz.

Thanks for the tip John. I tried sliding the ruler on all three guitars
and on all three the ruler slide down without hitting a fret. I will be taking one guitar in for some work but won’t bother leveling the frets
