Has anyone ordered bridge pins from David Warther at guitar parts and more ? Having a hard time hunting Fossilized Walrus jaw bone bridge pins Maury’s Music has had them in the past but are out of stock the last couple times I looked . Do you mean fossilised walrus ivory? Those are made from the tusks of long-dead walrus, not the jaw-bone. I’ve never heard of walrus jaw-bone being used for pins.

If you mean FWI, try Bob Colosi... http://www.guitarsaddles.com/products.asp

David Warther is a stand up guy. I ordered some bridge pins from him, to some exacting dimensions, and he made them perfectly.
Can not remember exactly, but some pin materials may be restricted as per state regulations.

Last I checked, Bob had no stock of Walrus ivory.
Fwiw, fwi is the tusk, while I have seen jaw bones used as well.

Default FWI Bridge Pins

Bob still shows FWI pins on his page.

http://www.guitarsaddles.com/pricing.asp

It might be worth a call to see what he has in stock.

I know that WAHI is only for GA instate sales.

Correct. I checked his website before I posted, and I gave a link to his ‘Products’ page on which FWI pins are listed.

No I am hunting for the fossilised Walrus IvoryJaw bone it is supposed to be more dense than the tusk . I have used the Fossilised Walrus jaw bone before on a Mahogany back and side spruce top Martin and it was a good combination . I want to do the same thing to my new D-18 . After reading this I did order the Walrus jaw bone fossilized pins from guitar parts and more /seems like David Warther had them in stock . Thanks for the feedback . Joe R

I haven't used them but just wanted to drop in to compliment your username, 1833. Very clever and fitting for the AGF. I'm surprised no one claimed it before 2019!

Try Custom Inlays. Look them up on line. I got my Fossilized Walrus pins from them. They are beautiful.
