New Ensor: Coco & Bearclaw Sitka
Here's another new creation. This one is headed to Denmark. It is my ES shape in stunning cocobolo and bearclaw sitka spruce. This is much more representative of my "normal" style of build. The top purfling is radial cocobolo bordered with black/maple/black. The rosette is radial, segmented cocobolo. The customer specified that he wanted a wide neck with a taylor like V profile. For guys like me with big hands, it is pretty comfy to play.
What do you think of the sapwood? And for those who want to hear it, here is the video.

Very nice! I like the subtle sapwood. What did you use for the fretboard side markers? Those are visible!

Chris, another beautiful guitar! I also like the sapwood and think it adds character. I think it sounds nice...the musical selection is not necessarily my taste, lol, so it was harder for me to really hear the tone of the guitar. I'm a man of simple melodies, lol. It seems to have a lot of power behind it as well.

Those "hollow" side dots are aluminum tubing. I really like the look in ebony.

The side dots are cool. How do you fill them? Ebony duct? I like everything about this guitar.

The inside is black plastic rod sold as "side dot material".

Well, the guitar made it to Denmark! And here is what the customer had to say:
"Now I’ve had the guitar for a few days and I just thought I'd drop a few lines. Visually it is stunning! The slightly reddish coco back and sides with the wonderful sapwood looks even better in real life than it did in the photos. The same can be said for the bearclaw top - some wonderful figuration going on there. Apart from that, I have to compliment you on the workmanship, which is absolutely top notch! Soundwise, the guitar is really loud with a particular powerful bass response. It really excels in open tunings, and once it’s been tuned down, it stays in tune remarkably well, a great indication of workmanship, I find. So, to sum it all up; thanks for creating this great instrument :-)"
