Default Top wood identification- Michael Keller Baby

Bought this 2001 Michael Keller Baby guitar used years ago. Wonderful guitar and so well made. The back and sides are Koa but was never sure of the top wood. I assume Sitka? He made guitars with many different top woods. Has a yellow cast.

I agree with you. Sitka seems the likely top wood.

I’ll throw my hat into the Sitka ring as well. Nice guitar.

Thanks you two should know. Below is the koa he used on this 1/2 size. Never have seen a custom maker put so much into such a little package. I changed out the ebony tuning buttons for pearl and added the special truss rod cover. The sides are absolutely perfect fiddleback curl. Would love to know how many of these little wonders he made.
