I have a doubt with ABY Box
Hello
I have a question about to connect 1 input to 2 outputs on live. I want to connect my acoustic guitar to 2 outputs. I just bought this ABY Box: http://www.palmer-germany.com/mi/en/...rger-PCABM.htm but, I think I was wrong. Is this only for Guitar Amplifiers? My guitar sounds good with this the signal is divided into two channels but I'm worried about series or paralell (I do not understand about the ohms). Could I break the guitar preamp? Is a fishman... Thank you! |

For your purposes on stage, you might want to consider something like this: https://www.thomann.de/intl/morley_aby.htm It will split your signal the way you want and let you switch between the two signal chains with a foot switch (it will also mix them if you need them at the same time). The Morley is just one of many of these sorts of switches out there, so shop around for one in your budget. One thing I'll add, however, is to make sure your pickup signal is correctly matched to your mixer inputs. If the pickup is active (that is, if it has its own preamp powered by a battery), you're probably fine, but you'll want to keep your cables as short as you can. If your pickup is passive, you'll also be fine if the mixer has high impedance inputs on the channels you use (again with short cables). If you don't have either of these, depending on the pickup you have, or if you need to run longer cables, you should consider a two channel DI box to convert the signals coming out of your switch to low impedance, mic level so you can use XLR cables and go into the mic inputs on the mixer.
