Default Goodman Double O birdseye koa/engelmann

Here's a double O in the que.

The back sides and head veneers are some very rare birdseye koa.

The closeup of the birdseye koa on the headstock is really interesting. I love koa anyway, but birdseye koa would be something beautiful.

Hi Steve,

No, Not from Uncle Bob.

I bought it many years ago in board form from a guy who is no longer in the biz. It came in a batch of otherwise curly koa-only made these two sets.

Interesting...the set I saw--being used by my brother--did come from Uncle Bob.
Very hard, glass-like; unlike any other Koa I've seen. Made a wonderful guitar, reminiscent of good rosewood.
