New Right Hand Pattern Lesson - ala Chet, Jerry, Marcel and more
Truefire just published Brook Robertson's, "30 Fingerpicking Patterns You Should Know." TF's many other "You Should Know" lessons are often very disjointed, but this one gets into the heart of matter. In it, Robertson mainly concentrates on Jerry Reed's style, but adds nods to Marcel Dadi, Buster B. Jones, Joao Gilberto, Chet, and Tommy E. Right hand technique is often overlooked in lessons, but happily, this lesson shines. The exercises are well thought out and aimed at intermediate players. His commentary adds nicely to the lesson and the lesson was created using Truefire's excellent production tools and documentation.
And it's nice to see TF upping the game in the acoustic realm. Rick

Eventually it's free flow rather than patterns in many pieces. However training finger independence and steadiness via pattern exercises is quite helpful.
