For the right price, on the right guitar, with the right repair, I would. The question you have to ask yourself- do you really have the skills to determine if those things are right?

Yes, but I would want to play the guitar after the repair. I might want a little more off depending on the regular price. It's only a re-glued bridge, not a repaired top, back, neck, etc. A bridge is a bridge and glue is glue. We are not talking rocket science here.

Bridges are pieces of ebony or rosewood glued to spruce. The two woods expand and contract at different rates.

Guitars are lumps of different woods held together by glue. Generally, the glue is stronger than the woods, but sometimes it gives.

I've seen the bridge of a Gibson jumbo tear off in the middle of a performance but mostly they just start to lift a little in one corner.

A good luthier can usually remove the bridge cleanly, clean both surfaces and re-glue with no evidence of the job.

I had it happen to a new Martin j12-40. Had it reglued by an authorised repairer, and later traded it back to them.

Even had it happen most recently to one of my Collings. Good as new. You'd never know!

I don't regard it as a major problem.

Depends on facts not in evidence. You said it’s new. So an authorized dealer had a repair person remove and reinstall the bridge? Does the guitar come with full first-owner lifetime warranty? If both of these are yes, what is per cent of sell price is the $300-$400 discount? This is not uncommon and a proper repair (not squinting glue in the gap and clamping) would likely last forever without issue. Also, I would want to see it in person or have some hi-res, tack-sharp photos of the bridge and top around the bridge. You could be getting a great deal on a great guitar.

Which Tak model? How much are they asking? Then we can tell you if it’s a good deal. There are a lot of budget priced Taks both new and used that there is no way I would do the deal on.

I bought a used 000-28 that had a reglued bridge. Fine so far. Sounds like heaven. Absolutely love it.

Would you buy a new guitar that had the bridge reglued?

guitar w/reglued bridge = not a "new" guitar

So, no.

Depends on the guitar. A $500 guitar with $400 taken off might be a consideration. Any instrument more expensive than that I would say no, never.

P1DC. They normally go for $1200 new.
price is $700. It's new/refurbished and only issue was the bridge being reglued. Good deal?

I'd be less worried about the guitar than the seller's glib explanation....

Yes. You also save a little more on tax. It also sounds like the dealer is honest.
