Roc-n-Soc drum throne with backrest and foot ring.
Very comfortable with the leg cutouts.

I got the throne with backrest on craigslist for $75 and added the footring for $30.

'Round here, whatever it is I sit on while playing, it is always Amish made. Makes a big difference in tone.

Got this from my better half for Christmas:

It's quite comfortable for acoustic and electric guitar playing.

Edge of the couch is good enough, and I can put stuff like picks, capo, tuner etc right beside me where I can easily grab it.

Sometimes I like to play in what I call the "Laid Back Willie" position...

That's what I use. It also has wheels on it.

I sit in a high back office chair (on wheels) with fixed arm rests. I wear a strap while seated too.

Costco had a no-frills version (all black leather, no detachable neck pillow) for $135 a while back - I'm sitting in one right now - and I've seen similar items from office-supply houses selling for significantly less than either the converted-$89-WalMart-rocking-chair Pick-N-Glider or the SoundSeat...

I have an old oak kitchen chair that belonged to my Grand Mother , probably 75 years old... I feel like it keeps me connected
