the end graph, fretboard inlays and rosette that match the sides and back is one of the more striking details of this guitar and I must say that it is absolutely beautiful!!

I've been holding on to some padauk for a while and now I know exactly what I'm going to do with it!!

Great Build from a true artist!!!

That's a great picture Dennis. I love the look of the fretboard in conjunction with the endgraph

Hey Eric, If your going to the Montreal guitar show, you will have that chance. If not, maybe we can arrange that some how after the show.

Dennis, I hadn't caught this thread until today... beautiful work as always - tasteful wood colors complimenting each other, and the inlays and end graft and rosewood bindings really integrate this guitar's visual aesthetics!! Wow!

Rilo, great choices, and Dennis, great aesthetics and execution! I had seen some Paduak but not really looked closely before. This one looks great!

I especially like the inlays and have saved this picture for future "pondering"!!

Best,

Phil

The fretboard inlay is something a bit different and Dennis spent a lot of time coming up with suggestions, drawing sketches and discussing options with me, to say nothing of the time spent doing the work!

Thanks Phil, that is a great complement, I hope to do this or a version of it again.

I know Nic is getting excited, I just have to put the heal cap on the neck and it is ready for lacquer!

Jeff, Thank you, The contrast between the two types of wood is better than I expected. Once it gets oiled up I will be even better Im sure.

Just about finished with this guitar. It is being lacquered at the moment so here we go!

The neck finished being carved and set to the body.

I wet down the finger board some to show what it will look like once the finger board is oiled. The Padauk really pops!

This is with the guitar under a wash coat before pour filling.

I love threads like this, and appreciate the willingness to share. Dennis, this is really a work of art. It takes serious creative vision to design something like this, and greater ability to make tharpt vision a reality. Can't wait to hear the impression of the sound of this guitar.

Thanks Mike, sometimes you have a great plan and vision for a build and suddenly there is more that takes shape and blooms making the build that much better then thought in the end. This is one of those.
