Default Sold. Froggy Bottom Brazilian Jumbo, 1980

SOLD

Bought from Robin at guitar gallery last year. Just think it’s a bit too big for my personal comfort. Just couldn’t pass up the amazing tonewood combo at the time. For now see the pics and audio here: https://www.guitargal.com/products/f...osewood-guitar

Details:

Condition: Used, Excellent --
Frets to Body: 14
Scale Length: 25.25"
Nut Width: 1 11/16"
Depth at tail: 4"
Lower Bout: 17"
Upper Bout: 12 1/4"

Best quality Brazilian rosewood back & sides (per a 2007 letter by Michael Millard)
19th Century, German Spruce top, there is nothing more fine!
Extra wide headstock with Gold Imperial tuning machines
MOP Froggy logo on headstock faceplate
Maple headstock and body bindings
Maple heelcap
Figured Maple end graft
5-ply back & side purflings
Faux tortoiseshell pickguard
Herringbone top trim
Ebony fretboard
The guitar has been re-fretted and the frets are in excellent shape
Carved, Ebony, Pyramid bridge
Mother of Pearl rosette & back center strip
This is a big boy, and the sound is beyond what you can imagine. It is HUGE, but clear as a bell. Super sweet, but with endless headroom and bravado.
As you would expect, the entire guitar is finish checked, and it further enhances its vintage vibe & mojo
Newer, TKL case included
This guitar was originally built for M. Beaumont

If only it had 1.75 nut width I would be withdrawing money from my account right now.

Wow...That Brazilian is incredible! There are some builders who would charge more for just that set of Braz than you’re asking for the whole guitar! GLWS!

Thanks! Yeah, Michael has had some amazing tonewood over the years. Brazilian like this is hard to come by now.

The current price of 5A Brazilian alone from Froggy Bottom is $10K. This guitar has better wood and is less expensive.
