Ah yes, now that I check back through the thread I realise this was referred to earlier on. Cool! I really daren't go anywhere near Brighton, far too much temptation to handle! I would love to have a play on that baby, though.

Hi Hans,
That parlor is a real beauty! So unique in aesthetics compared to other guitars. Seems like you're well pleased with the sound too.

Chuck, I think it compares very well to my oak parlor. Difference is, of course, that mine is a year old...
My friend Bob is coming over this morning so if he feels like it I may get a quick clip of it and maybe even a clip of mine for age comparison...

So, I talked to Hans last week and found out he had already delivered the parlor to the Podium. I had to check it out, so I stopped there at lunch today. Had a smile on my face the whole time. Beautiful looking guitar, with a great sound. A standout instrument in a shop filled with wonderful guitars.

Update: Over the weekend I got the chance to play Hans' personal oak/adi parlor that is about a year old. It was nice to be able to do this comparison, too bad not at the same time/location, but it was within several days of each other. To me, the older guitar had a more open/round tone, and seemed more balanced across all the whole range. However, the latest parlor at the Podium seemed to have something different in the trebles that I really liked; there was fantastic clarity and thickness but you could also pull out complexity in the overtones when you wanted to. So, I think once his latest parlor gets some age and playtime it's going to be fantastic.
