F50 back home
Just picked up my F50 from Paul Neri Lutherie in Clinton, CT, neck reset and gluing a crack in the bridge, and it sound and plays better than it has in years. FWIW, I've tried a handful of other luthiers in CT, always come back to Paul, been using him for close to 50 years. He also checked for a date under the top and it was made in '72, not the '76 I got from one of the often unreliable Guild S/N lists on line. Good to have it back, and the "new" sound made me forget about the consideration of selling it.

Is the F-50 Maple (I had a 79), or Rose Wood?

Maple, with an arched back. Also learned from Guild guru Hans Moust that the date on the soundboard was when it was made, but the guitar itself is from '76.
