Anyone a fan of Snooks eaglin?
When I was young I loved this Awesome song by Snooks called Funky Malaguena. Last week I rediscovered it song when I found it on itunes. I been listening to more of his stuff since I only know the one song. I must say I'm very impressed with his playing but almost never hear anyone mention his name.
Anyone a fan of Snooks? Do you have any recommended listening or favorite songs?

Hi Aj...greetings from the metro New Orleans area! I'm a HUGE Snooks Eaglin fan and I always made sure to make his JazzFest performance each year.
Not sure if you heard, but Snooks passed away just a few weeks ago. I heard he was having some health issues last fall and I was so saddened to hear of his passing recently. Snooks was a New Orleans treasure...awesome performer and a helluva guitarist. Every Snooks performance was always FUN! My two favorite Snooks CDs are "The Way It Is" and "Live From Japan". If your foot ain't tappin' when you're listening to Snooks, you have a hole in your soul. Fare thee well Snooks! Wow I didn't know he had passed. That's very sad. I did some research on him when I found out he was the artist of Funky Malaguena . After reading he was still playing I wondered if I would get to him him one day. I guess not...
I'll check those LP's out, thanks
