I stand corrected! I am definitely not on the up and up with ramirez labels, looks just like some 1A's on the internet. Sorry for the false info! Although I agree with the OP, I wouldn't of drove 50 miles without a price, just to arrive and then have the seller tell me 10,000 take it or leave it. (Although on second thought, I might of just to play it! )

Thanks : )
I appreciate it anyway.
I really didn't know what they wanted for it,or what it sold for..if they just called back and said an affordable amount & if it fell below the estimates here(which I really never got a solid handle on) I'd a got up and drove there the in morning.
I think I missed out but who knows..if it had an unhealthy issue with neck or sounded unimpressive to me..
Oh well Cheers

It's a Blanca
Flamenco guitar
Cedar top
Yes it could have initials but they stopped this by the 1980's
Mine had 1A and Jose's initials
I am guessing this isn't a primera Blanca
Though the label looks like the one I had it isn't signed
Most of the student models have a bluish label

You can email Cristina at Ramirez or the foro would be good

I think the year might unravel a few things

Around the $4000 to $5500 mark
I would'nt pay too much more than that
Probably a good guitar
Mine was
Sold for a manuel caceres
But now own an 80's Conde Hermanos Media Luna

Thanks AIVal.Very kind of you to give me info and estimate.
Beautifull information.
I really was not sure if it was a lower grade guitar with they're name on it as Id seen some selling for $1800..etc in the past.
I think I could have got it for a good price in that sale but who knows if it was healthy.
But it is gone, I had just a few days to get a crash course before it was sold. Since then I have listened to some playing on these guitars that is beautifull & videos of the Ramirez work shop.
Nice lady/luthier but my wife has to translate.
I love it that they are bench made guitars. I believe in that kind of thing and I have a great completely bench made rock guitar made by Carlo Greco but I never gave much thought to a Classical guitar, but after listening I really like the sound of them.
I can never at this point relearn to play like you guys traditionally do on them but maybe when I come across one when I play it I can make some music on them. cheers.
