Default Durable Strings

I just bought my first nylon string guitar and when I bend the strings they grind roughly on the frets. I mainly bend the strings to get a vibrato like effect. But after a week I have already destroyed the G string.

Any recommendations on durable strings, perhaps that will glide easier on the frets when bending?

More likely the problem are the frets and not the strings....oh and welcome to AGF.

That's probably true. I'm going to try and polish the frets before I put on the new strings.

I'm considering D'Addario composites, lightly polished composites, and exp coated.
