My first Flatpicking Arrangement
Hey guys
Well as the title says, this is my first arrangement that I've done for flatpick style guitar. The tune itself is an arrangement of the prelude from Bach's Cello suite in G Major. It's one of my favorite pieces of all time so I figured I'd do an arrangement, I hadn't heard anyone do a flatpicked arrangement of it so I decided to do it myself Guitar used is my Metcalf Custom Dreadnought Any comments welcome, I'm really just kind of looking for some basic comments, (possible ways to improve playing ie less pick noise etc..) Enjoy! http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7697144 Last edited by D. Churchland; 06-10-2009 at 09:29 PM. |

Very cool. Well done.
I've spent quite a bit of time flatpicking Bach and Sor myself. I like the way it sounds, and it's a tremendous exercise. |

Thanks Eric
Sor is one of my old faves, I haven't tried it flatpicking style yet, I'll have to give that a whirl someday |

I must say that this is first time I've heard a Bach tune flatpicked! How nice you played it. Very well!!

Nicely done...
It's amazing how good old J.S.Bach still inspires.

Will,
Nice job! One constructive criticism, not of you of the recording, it's kind of brittle and edgy (I listen through reference monitors w/sub)... I really like your playing! Well done my friend!
