Default '72 Fender Thinline II on Layaway_PICS

Here are the pics I promised in the other AGF thread about this guitar. Apologies for my pathetic photography skills. 1 shot of the guitar in case & 1 of the 70s-era Bill Lawrence L-90 neck pickup. As far as I can tell the L-90s are the only non-original feature on the instrument. (I did check in the case compartment to make sure the owner didn't just stash the orig Fender pickups in there; no such luck.) I'm super happy about this purchase. The guitar plays and sounds great.

Nice...I always liked these, and I especially like the pearl guard on this one.

Check the other thread...I put a link in there to a set of original Fender pups for this for $100.00

Nice guitar! Looks a little off to my eye without the FWR shiny covers. But, those Lawrence L-90's probably sound pretty killer!

Also, I'm sure those WR pups will sell quickly. That's a really good price, and I wish I had the money...

I'm finicky. To me, a Telecaster is more than just a body shape. It's a guitar with two single-coil pickups. Any other pickups just don't deliver the same sound.
But if you're pleased with it, what does my opinion matter?

Looks to me like it's in top notch shape. Too bad about the original pups but I bet it's a great sounding axe.
