Default Finally played a gig with my Rainsong!

It wasn't anything huge, but it was a ton of fun ...and playing that Rainsong plugged in was an absolutely dream!

I played a little holiday party at a store in a small coastal town where we have a place, Sargent, Texas. The picture of me isn't very good but its all I got.

I played from 6-8pm.

Glad to hear that gigs are starting up again, not seeing much here in the NE. Looks good with that Rainsong.

Nice! Good to see some places opening up and live music continuing. There is just something so cool about hearing music live that has been lost in Zoom land over the last several months.

RainSongs sound great plugged in as well. Nice guitar

My older Rainsong WS-1000 is the single best sounding stage guitar that I own. It has the Fishman on-board blender and sounds very natural through a PA with ~30% mic and 70% UST, and output set to about 80% of full volume.

I'm mostly a plain visible CF weave guy, but the marine burst is pretty tasty!

Congrats on the gig. Must have felt great to be playing out after all this time. Your setup also looks great.

Very cool.
Is the little turquoise step stool yours?

Hope you don't mind if I ask kind of a heavy question.
What program(s) do you use on your ipad for cataloging songs/playlists, for practice and for gigs? I've been using sheet music. But, keep thinking I ought to try something digital that either scrolls or has a footswitch to page forward.

I have been using OnSong for years. Words and chords, scrolling, fast and easy to do set lists, a couple seconds to switch to a song not on the set list. I started out using on an iPad Mini, but as I have... um... matured, I moved on to an iPad Pro. I went for decades not using any kind of "prompt" besides a hand written set list, thinking it "didn't look professional." Forgetting the words or a chord looks less professional. It's only there for a prompt - I don't read from it. And, if someone requests a song I haven't done for a while, it's easy to pull it up and start playing.

Yeah, I remember playing out.

I was looking at Onsong. It looked like a great program. The only thing that put me off it was that it is now subscription based to use it. As an alternative, I found an app called Songbook Chordpro. So far I’m really happy with it as it seems to do everything that I need.
