pickups in a composite guitar

I have a CA X with the Baggs IMIX system. Is there something about a graphite top that make an USP sound better. The I-beam sounds very natural but the element undersaddle just sound more magical shimmery?
Didn't I hear that graphite interacts with pickups since it is more of a conductor?
