Here is the neck, thin but has the nice binding then rosewood.

The back was unfinished, no gloss. I like gloss so either way was fine by me.

Two days ago I put in an extra spring as the three existing ones just couldn't compensate for the increase in tension from putting on 010s! Received the proper trem arm in the post yesterday so everything now is as it should be.
It plays beautifully and sounds great!

Oh yeah, I also got a Wampler Ego Compressor that I ordered yesterday - all I can say is WOW! Yep, a compressor can do wonders in the signal chain (in my case, at the beginning of the chain, just after the Polytune). For smoothing out those volume swings but I love the extreme settings too - great as a boost and as a sustain but also for a slight swell when the attack is set to max. I'm going to have fun with this pedal in my setup.

Hi Pieterh, I'm just catching up now on this thread. Great that you got it setup. I was going to recommend an extra spring or two which is what you did. It is a pain to setup but now that you've done it you should be good to go. Have fun!

The neck should be a satin finished poly. Same material as a gloss neck, but doesn't get buffed to a glassy finish.

I think it is, it certainly isn't unfinished.
