Default Original Song “Time”- Goodall and Flammang

https://youtu.be/kPDvLbhXEEM

My friend and I wrote this song. I wrote the music and she did the lyrics.

Now, for what you all care about… the guitars.

The main fingerstyle guitar was recorded with a Goodall RJ Cedar top, Rosewood back and sides.

The rhythm is a Balazs Prohaszka with a Western Red Cedar top and Madagascar Roswood back and sides.

The other guitar is a Nashville Tuned Flammang GC with a Bearclaw Spruce top and Rosewood back and sides.

They were all recorded with a dpa clip on and an AKG 414 into an iPhone and an iPad. I’m not very sophisticated with my recording.

Bass is a US Lakland with ChiSonics.

Enjoy and I’d love to hear feedback!

Hi Jojo,
Beautiful voice on the vocals.
Lyrics are well written, and the music is truly melodic and enjoyable.
Of course, the guitars and instrumentation is perfectly laid.
Harmonies are also done so well.
No changes for this mix!
Great recording.

Thank you, kindly for the feedback. I need a better interface to how I record. I’m literally just going into an iPhone and iPad to record the guitars. I know there’s a better way. :-)

There's million ways of doing the interface recording into your iPad.
The question is how much technology and money do you want to spend and learn how to use.
I record into my IMAC, and I record videos, rather than audio only. "Live recordings".
Your definition of your recording requirements would lead you to your desired set-up.
