I think the only thing the guitars retain from Larrivee is the compound fretboard. The bracing is very different as is the sound. Its more open, clear.

Correct. We use an old Larrivee railer to do the compound radius fingerboards. A compound radius just makes so much sense and allows for a more consistent string height going up the neck. And the machine for doing it is real slick.
