I’m still using the same old Pioneer PL530 I got in high school. The last record I played was a Swedish pressing of Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band that my son and I listened to while playing with Lego. That was last Friday.

There was a point in time when all I did was read, listen to vinyl and smoke tasty hand rolled Danish Shag cigarettes. Oh, how I appreciate the memories of my 20’s.

Default Anyone else been going through old vinyl lately?

Perfect timing. Just cued up Lightnin’ Hopkins on Blue Arhoolie vinyl.

Oh man, I wish...I had a wonderful and eclectic collection of records that I literally walked away from because I moved from a 3 bedroom townhouse in Los Angeles to a 32' motor yacht in the SF Bay area and just didn't have room for them. I was very fussy about keeping them in perfect condition, too.

Lots of very rare progressive cuts, classical recordings, mis-pressed records, including a copy of a Little Feat album that had Little Feat on one side and Emmy Lou Harris on the other, an album by Jean Luc Ponti playing Zappa's "King Kong"...lots of stuff like that.

Two big crates...I just gave them away...

I'm a 40 year old whipper snapper. Never really got into vinyl. I used to enjoy listening to a good CD from start to finish when in high school and undergrad. Every since grad school, free time has always been a premium. I'd love to have that kind of free time. Time to sit means I should have a guitar in my hands. If I listen to music, it's in the car, at work, walking the dog, or while doing chores.

I'm one of those folks who never stopped listening to vinyl. Here are a couple of my bluegrass albums.
