Default Did Gibson start weight-relieving their Juniors?

I've seen a lot of threads around the interwebs of Juniors not being weight relieved and approaching well over 8 lbs. I just weighed my 2020 and it came in at 6 lbs 13 oz. The only one on Sweetwater right now is an identical weight to mine.

Any idea if Gibson started weight relieving the Junior line, or are these just two lucky examples?

Without a maple cap or large pick guard, weight relief would be pretty hard to do. You probably got lucky.

Yeah I just got off the phone with customer service. They haven't changed anything. Lucky.

7 lbs 8 oz on my 2015 Jr. a little heavy, but I like the 1.80” nut.
