Sorry Ice, I disagree. While I love Taylors for their amazing playablility and their nice bell-like ringing sound, I love Martins for their deep rich tone. Beauty is in the ears of the beholder, for sure, But to say that Martins "Suck" is shortsighted.

i can't believe this one is still going. this guy was obviously trying to start a war with this post. especially since he didn't chime in again during the whole thing....that's usually a pretty clear sign someones' trolling.

Man do they suck. I tried a d28, om42, and a "grail" d45.
None compare to my low end taylor 314ce.

Advice for martin owners, sell them!!

Then I was miffed
Then I thought it might be a joke
Then maybe arrogance
Then justification

Pretty much settled on stupidity.

And now this?!?!

Beauty is in the EAR of the beholder... I've heard some unbelievable Martins and I've heard some drop dead wonderful Taylors.

Moral of the story: to each his/her own!

I'd love to have a Martin D-28 to go w/ my Taylor 414!
I was getting ready to say the same thing when I stumbled on to your post. Well said!!
