Fire eye clean boost
Hi,
Does anyone have experience using these for acoustic guitars? I’m particularly interested in the Bright Eye model for a simple way to boost volume when I go from loud strummers to soft fingerstyle songs. Thanks.

It will accomplish exactly what you desire. I have used the red eye and it is a clean unit.

Bought one and regretted selling it. I will buy again after trying 2 other pre/DI units. They are fantastic and make electric guitars sound killer too.

With electric guitars... is the signal chain straight into the Redeye, then into your amp? How does that impact the signal, make it richer? thanks, trying to see how it impacts electric (I know passive piezo are ideal...)

You run your guitar straight into the RedEye. The RedEye then has an out 1/4 to your pedals, with the signal from the pedals coming back to another 1/4 inch in-port. Then you take the signal out through a combo XLR/1/4 inch port to your amp or sound system. The RedEye boosts the signal and adjusts the impedance - there is also a treble boost knob.
I like mine.
