Indeed! You should immediately put your credit card in the freezer and take a long walk in the woods. LOL

Am I to assume that your Huss is so good it displaced the Martin, or was it the new Taylor? I think we probably all need to wait a few weeks to see what the JBL mixer performance is like. Then, we can go ga-ga like proper AGFers.

Cuki,

Keep It! Last night, I put a new battery in and strings on the Martin HD-28, and today when the buyer was playing it through the LR Baggs Synapse, I heard amplified tone as good as it gets! I thought I was listening to the unamplified Martin HD-28 but it was louder. I still have my Trance Amulet M-VT Phantom ready to be installed in another guitar but I'm trying to decide which one: rip the HFN Artist 2 out of my Martin D-18 and put in the Trance, or put it in the Larrivee D-40M, or get the latest Martin HD-28 with forward-shifted bracing and install it in that? I'm sold on the Trance Amulet M-VT and feel it's made for dreadnought guitars and captures the full bass and the rest of the frequency spectrum!

Yeah, the Huss & Dalton TD-R and Taylor 717e are so good that I felt I could cut loose my 2014 Martin HD-28 but only because there's the new Martin HD-28 with the 1 3/4 inch neck width and forward-shifted bracing. See what Martin did there? They did a Taylor-like thingy!

For sure. The new HD-28 is an HD-28V build with different neck shape and drop in saddle. It’s a great guitar for certain. You can even find them with Adirondack tops at certain shops for a $200 upgrade.

I'll keep a lookout for the $200 Adirondack top upgrade. IMHO, the Martin HD-28, from 1976 to the present, is a no-brainer choice as a dreadnought as a player can't go wrong with owning one. I bought my first in 1977, and three or four more over the years and all were stellar-toned guitars.

I am tempted to pre order one due to the 10% price reduction.I already own a Bose S1 which I find to be very good.

The JBL unit appears to have fancier dials, a headphone jack and some other positive differences.

I have never owned gear from JBL.The parent company HARMON seems to offer good products.

That is a eon 610. It is a Standard powered PA speaker with No battery and simpler mixer, and it has a 10inch speaker

I have heard from someone that had a demo that the S1 sounds better. I wouldn’t run out and trade your Bose yet. Wait and compare them first.

Good advice. I don’t like the tone of the Bose S1 thought... Better is a matter of taste, so I still have hope. Also the first units should be reviewed way before there is any available to buy in Europe.

I’ve been holding off buying a second S1 Pro hoping that they’d fix the battery draining issue first. It’d be used as a backup so they isn’t any urgency. Now that the eon one compact is available with better features and specs, I may get that instead if the reviews are positive.

I have now owned my Eon One for three years and I love how it sounds and it is quite easily transportable on level ground with it's wheeled storage bag that came free in a rebate type promo. I use it whenever a venue is small enough, and or quiet enough to get away with it, which is most of them. The bluetooth works really well. It is quite heavy to carry up stairs at my age. For those few times when the compact could do the job, and the weight savings is a clear advantage, it would be a godsend. I like the online mixer and the battery would be great for those cute little wedding ceremonies, 400 yards from the nearest house. Still not sure I want to pre-order just yet. I need a new car.
