I have used Amboyna burl in rosettes previously, and really liked it. Not sure what burl you have there. It is a bit more yellowish than amboyna. I'm sure it will look great.

I can't even remember what my supplier called that burl to tell you the truth ... looks pretty zippy though!

It always amazes me how much you luthiers can do with hand tools such as a chisel like that. I would be so worried it would catch a grain line and take too much etc. Beautiful work.
