Oops sorry! Misread! Classical gas is an interesting song that almost everyone likes. Typically in key of Am 1 7 5 1 chord progression. Am G Em Am I shy away from tabs and put energy into the structure and feeling of a song over actual note for note accuracy.

I learned it by ear and your progression is what I use. I agree on the structural focus perspective based on the ear-head-hand method but many people need a a visual segway to the head-hands method. It tends to leave the ear unchallenged and therefore inexperienced but in the age of short cuts tablature provides a work-around the ear work.

or http://www.tabpigs.org/artists/te/classical_gas.pdf By ear is good (the way I learned it originally) but so is tab, youtube videos, etc.

Thanks Rick-Slo Im. starting to play again after a long lay off, age and relearning make it easier for me with tabs.
