Default Avalon L25c - 2004 -Baggs iBeam and Hiscox Case

Avalon L25c with a solid cedar top, solid rosewood back and sides, Grover tuners with ebony buttons, ebony fret board, rosewood bridge, wood bindings, and a 1 & 23/32" nut.

Asking $SOLD plus shipping to the CONUS. I prefer PayPal and will eat the PP charges.

I bought this from a forum member and I think it has been owned by one other forum member. Would love to keep her in the AGF family. My intention all along was to secure an Avalon of this model to test out against my Lowden F-23, and was only going to keep one of the instruments. After a healthy internal debate, I decided to keep the Lowden only because it complements my other guitars better than the Avalon. By comparison, to my ears, the Avalon is darker and richer sounding than the Lowden, which is punchier and has a more ‘wirey’ sort of sound. But I would say the build quality is every bit as good on the Avalon as is the Lowden.

There is a repaired crack on the back lower bass side bout. This crack does not go all the way through the wood. The adjacent binding was cracked and repaired as well. A previous owner said these were there when he bought it, and that his guitar tech said it was a well done repair. They do not affect the sound, playability or structural integrity of the guitar.

Other than that, there are two small dents and three light scratches above the soundhole. There are a few small dents along the lower bout at the edge. And there are two small pencil-head indentations by the horn and on the pickguard. Most of these are visible only at certain angles.

A great-sounding Baggs iBeam active bridgeplate-mounted pickup is installed, along with a 9V battery and sound hole volume control. Original rosewood end pin is in the case.

Includes custom-made bone nut and saddles. Plays beautifully up and down the neck with no buzz; intonation and action are perfect.

The original Hiscox case is also in good shape with a few marks and bumps, but all latches work fine.

Friendly bump on a great instrument!

In the off chance that anyone would want to talk trade + cash on a Martin HD28V, I'd be interested in discussing....

Just taking a flyer here - don't have a Martin HD28V for trade, but what about a Guild or Larivee and cash? Had to ask . . .

Never hurts to ask...but right now I really only have eyes for an HD28V or maybe a Collings. Thanks though!

Since it never hurts to ask........
I have a Furch D33LR-c (Apline Spruce/rosewood cutaway burst) not a scratch on her with a K&K mini installed. The guitar is punchy and LOUD, but also sensitive to a softer touch. ,

I can send pics and specs if you are curious.

I have been Avalon Curious for a while.
If not, best of luck on your trade.

Thanks for asking....I've been Furch curious as well...but I tend to not be the biggest fan of cutaway Dreads, nor am I a big burst fan.
