Default A Song From A Secret Garden - Fingerstyle cover on a Martin HD28VS :)

Haven't recorded anything in a while so I thought I upload my cover of Song From A Secret Garden. Wonderful and emotional melody. Original which is done on a piano and violin is pretty much unmatched.
Not a really song made for guitar, but I gave it a try on my Martin HD28VS

I thought it was great! Excellent job and hope to see more down the road.

Beautiful playing, and a great arrangement of this piece. I've never heard it played on guitar before, but i think it works well.

Actually, Secret Garden did not write this. They may have adapted it, but the melody is originally from Gabriel Faure's Pavane, Op. 50, written in 1887. Originally written for piano, it's been played on many instruments, and lends itself well to adaptation. I've played it at a wedding on flute with guitar accompaniment. It's a timelessly beautiful piece, and you did it justice.

Thanks for the comments!

Interesting history Jack. I've corrected the description under my video on YouTube.

I just stopped by for one of my increasingly infrequent visits to AGF.

I'm glad I did. I'm now listening for the third time.

The fact that you played this lovely piece on the slot-head version of my favorite Martin model is a bonus.

Thanks Dave!

I love my HD28V. A true monster. I honestly don't know how can Martin make a better guitar, regardless of the price.
