One of my favorite groups of the 70's. I think he was the last surviving original member of ARS.

RIP Brother
No, Rodney Justo is still alive and well.

Anybody remember the thing about speeding up 'Imaginary Lover' to make it sound like a Stevie Nicks song?

Yes !

KDKB (the great freeform/open format station in Mesa/Phoenix) had just been sold and was now one of the first AOR stations in the country.

I remember them playing that slightly faster and it was a contest to see who it was for a few days.

Everybody thought it was Stevie/Fleetwood.

Wow.

What a flashback...

So sad...loved ARS. One of my favorite songs was maybe a little lesser known "roadhouse" kinda rocker "Back Up Against The Wall"...

Very sad, they have lost so many of the original members. ARS was a great band and would tour up and down the East Coast, every time they came through I would go to their shows RIP Dean

Sad to hear.
I really liked this band and their music.
An interesting anecdote is that the song “So In To You” and the
Alan Parson’s Project’s “I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You” have a lot and I mean a lot in common, especially the guitar solos.
