[emoji7] stunning . I am staying in a Dark Sky Sanctuary at the moment, would love to get into some astrophotography (former commercial photographer).

Amazing pic. Glad you didn't give up on your hobby.

Thanks. It's very challenging but rewarding. I would love to go to a Dark Sky one day with some gear.

Are you still doing it manually with a tripod?

Awesome pic. I'm in the planning stages for a spring/summer trip to S Central Oregon when the moon is new. Last attempt was ruined by the wildfires blocking the sky.

Sadly, yeah. Won’t be able to afford a tracking mount for a few months. By then Orion will be gone, but there’s always next winter.

UH, there are plenty of targets in spring and summer that can be shot quite well with a tracking mount. Why wait until next winter to get your chops? Orion is great but there is lots of sky.

True. Summer in gonna try and do Astro landscape since that’s when the core of the Milky Way shows. But yeah plenty of DSO’s during the summer.
