Free to a good home - hammered dulcimer
I always wanted one and got my father, a furniture maker, to make one for me. Later, we replaced the pin block with a harder one, but I never strung it up or learned to play. And won't now. This is a big instrument; you'll have to bend your elbow when carrying it. had s a homemade case, not the least fancy. Probably, the strings are shot too.

It's a long shot but you could ask Ken Kolodner if he'd like it but he likely has many already. Clawhammer banjoist extraordinaire, Brad Kolodner, is Ken's son and they have several videos playing together. Here's one:

I've been searching and searching for a hammered dulcimer to learn on, that I could afford. If it's still available, I promise to take good care of it, and cherish it, and learn to play it…been a dream of mine for quite awhile.
