Default What question would you ask Linda Manzer?

So I'm going to a talk by Linda Manzer next week. This talk is for the general public and it'll be about her life's work. Q&A to follow. I have a few ideas but what would YOU ask her if you could?

Does she maintain any kind of relationship with Jean Larrivée?

What build is her favorite?

Is there a particular wood that she favors using?

It was great.
Linda's a very good speaker, funny, worked with a slide show that was well prepared. Interesting stories of clients, unusual builds and some explanation of her building process.
Several of her guitars were on stage, and Terry Tufts was there to play the 50 string Palette Guitar that she built for him.
She talked about the Group of Seven Guitars project she did with Jean Larivee and his other apprentices from the '70's . https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=466098
Linda finished up talking about her Sunflower Guitar fundraiser for Ukraine and Terry played the Sunflower Guitar for a bit. https://sunflowerguitar.com/

Thanks for this, Craig. Turns out I didn't even make it (sicker than a old dog, that night!). Anyway, I knew it'd be awesome and my good friend Terry Tufts can "play'em with the best of em". Hopefully there's an encore as the talk was sold out with a healthy wait list.

BTW this is Terry's "Palette" that Linda Manzer built for him. https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...ighlight=Tufts

Too bad you missed it. Hope you're feeling better. Thanks again for the heads up, 'cause I wouldn't have heard about it otherwise.

I had heard some of the stories from Sergei de Jonge (my lutherie teacher and one of the "Group of Seven" builders) and I had
seen/read some of her interviews and articles, but she offered up lots of fresh content.

Much of the audience were not "guitar" people and you could hear their jaws dropping at some of what they saw and heard.
