Default For Sale: 1933 National Style 3 Tricone

Rare and beautiful hand-engraved German Silver tricone guitar, built by National circa 1933. Hawaiian square neck model with incredible sound for lap steel playing. The three cone setup mellows the tone and creates a lyrical sound perfect for slide guitar. Rare Style 3 model with fancy engraving and pearloid headstock overlay.

All original with the original cones & tuners. Includes vintage hard case. SOLD click here for more photos & details on this 1933 National Style 3 >>>

Very beautiful guitar and looks like it is in fabulous shape. Square neck is a harder sell for me, though.

Glad you enjoyed the photos. I love vintage Nationals and play both round neck and square neck tricones myself. The Hawaiian guitars have been really popular in our inventory, I think it's because of the unique sound and of course the look

Smile Question

Am I right in thinking that the square neck is hollow?

If so, I bet that helps add to the haunting tone of these beautiful instruments

And a merry Christmas to everybody.

Paul.

I'm sorry I did not see this question earlier. The neck actually has a wooden support inside to help maintain the shape under string tension.
