After buying this a while ago, I've finally used it and can give a review.
I bought a guitar made in 2009 that apart from string changes had absolutely nothing ever done to it in the way of maintenance. The fingerboard was a dry dirty mess. I used the supplied 0000 steel wool first, buffing off the crust. I then applied the balm. As opposed to the oil I was accustomed to, this a a balm / wax that you apply with a small cloth. I let it absorb for 2 hours as directed and then buffed it off. WOW, what a difference. I feel like I worked the moisturizer in more, as opposed to just wiping it on / off with say lemon oil. I feel like it absorbed more, and that it is retained very well by the wood. I'd recommend this to anyone.

I finally had a chance to try it. I really like it. One guitar in particular, an Eastman, had something funky going on with the FB. It hurt my fingers after playing for an hour or so. Hard to explain, but regardless, after putting it on, following the instructions, that problem is gone. It feels almost silky now. I really like the stuff. You may be on to something here.

McKnight's Fretboard Renewal
Bought some a year ago (or maybe more) but hadn't tried it until this week. Used it on a project instrument, a $139 Fender Squier Telecaster. Followed directions about letting it sit, then re-applying. Results were amazing. Will be happily using it on my nice guitars and mandolin. I recommend it!

Bought a tin of Tim’s previous batch…wonderful stuff! My bridges and fret boards look and feel so nice!
I even applied some to a couple of cutting boards and cheese boards. A little goes a long way. Get some…you’ll be glad you did.

Hi guys,
I just noticed this thread. Thank you for all of the positive reviews. I’ve yet to have anyone say that they didn’t like the product. I’m glad that you took a chance to try it. The key is to not rush the soaking in process and if you see any areas where it’s dry then apply another coat. The results will amaze you.
