Sixties Archtop Sunburst Sunday.

In light of my latest acquisition, the '67 Gretsch Double Anniversary, I thought I'd post my 60's Sunburst Archtop family...

'6? Kay Mercury, '67 Gretsch Double Anniversary and '67 Gibson ES335TD

Picked up a '61 Kay Galaxie w/period SSC for $25 at a church rummage sale last December - same teaburst as yours once I cleaned six decades' worth of crud off of everything, just needs a "plastics kit" (pickup surround, truss rod cover, pickguard) and a bridge to restore it to near-showroom condition...

My TopHat amp is a Club Royale which is kinda based on a Vox top boost design with a tad bit of Marshall, selectable with a fat-off-bright switch. There are other models which are more Marshally or Fenderish.
TopHat is a small company and the Club Royale is my all time favorite amp. I used to try out every new amp that would possibly interest me. I quit doing that since I acquired the TopHat in 2004.
