Picked up a '61 Kay Galaxie w/period SSC for $25 at a church rummage sale last December - same teaburst as yours once I cleaned six decades' worth of crud off of everything, just needs a "plastics kit" (pickup surround, truss rod cover, pickguard) and a bridge to restore it to near-showroom condition...

I have learned so much on this forum. I see in the photo you have a "TopHat" amp . I am not familiar with that make, is it more american or british in design or something else ?
