That's good to hear lkingston. You did me a big favor by endorsing this amp, it really is quite amazing!

One thing I notice that's different from my M6BR8 and I believe the 1st gen D6-8 is the battery indicator has two sets of two lights (A & B sections) instead of multiple lights in a row to indicate the battery level. I asked Elite about this and they said "There are two battery pack in the system."

Makes me think they may replace your battery level section as well.

Btw, I'm going to start a thread for D6-8 EQ set up tips with and without using the VE-8. Since you have a lot of experience with both, I'm hoping you'll join me in that conversation.

My d68 arrived in ca on thursday.
They had quoted me 10 day turnaround.
But I'd imagine they're a bit busy doing
This. I would think the unit would be
Lighter after this upgrade. Lithium.
Has anyone got theirs back yet..if so what are your thoughts??

Just weighed mine and it came in at 27.6 lbs, so it looks like the new user manual is correct at 28 lbs which is the same as the old one. Perhaps the other new components weigh more and make up the difference.

Well, I can't really say if it's the same since they upgraded me from a M6BR8. But I'm guessing you will find the answer to be: yes.

Based on comparing the two user manuals, everything seems the same except for the battery level indicator(s).

I believe they upgraded him during the return period. That wouldn’t be so unusual.

Actually I was past my 14 day return period by two weeks when I wrote Elite and let them know I wasn't happy with the extremely modest volume it took for the M6BR8 to sound good. I asked if they'd consider a return.

They said they can't do that but offered an exchange to a demo M2-6 for a fairly low price. I didn't see that as enough of an improvement to take the deal. I let them know I'd probably sell it and mentioned I was considering a Bose S1.

Lol, they said they'd hate to lose a sale to Bose and came back with the offer to return mine and upgrade to the New D8-6 (demo) at a price I'd have been nuts to turn down... the rest is history.
