Default used taylor 224-k has fret buzz

HI everyone

so it is mint other than fret buzz at the 11th fret and higher on the A string.

the seller sent me shims to try and none worked. how much would this cost at a shop to get looked at and possibly repaired...trying to figure a good number to ask for reimbursement (partial refund)

thanks

Many things can cause fret buzz, if you want to keep the guitar then best to simply have it done then negotiate some money back

i Would not envisage it costing more than 150

Do you ever play at the 11th fret or above on the A string?

weird.

im trying to imagine what is causing those problems..
frets that are lifted should also affect your low E string the same way.

try and see if the buzz if coming from the frets or the saddle.

I have 2 suspicions on the saddle:
1) the saddle height for the A string is a little lower than optimal for you (is this a handmade saddle? is there a deep groove in it?)
2) check if the string has room to sizzle on the saddle. Does the string leave the saddle abruptly?
