I have the Art & Lutherie Roadhouse with the same woods, big sound in a little guitar.

Do you think it would fit my style? I'm going to ask to sweeten the pot anyway if I do accept the offer. I want a couple sets of Martin Monel 11-52's

Like you, I’m in my 70’s, and started this guitar journey late, very late.

I have 4 acoustic guitars and all are different as far as tone woods. Due to shoulder ailments, I limit the body size to OM maximum.

I have two Eastman guitars. E40 OM, Adirondack top with solid rosewood b/s, and a PCH OM-3, with Sitka top and laminated Koa b/s. I use the PCH as my camp/travel guitar as it mimics the 40 in respect to specifications.

Gibson L-00 Standard Vintage Burst with Sitka top and solid mahogany b/s.

And finally the Art & Lutherie Roadhouse tobacco burst with cedar top and laminated cherry b/s. This a small 12 fret parlor that came with excellent quality build. That said, it does need a good setup.

I’ve tried to vary the tone woods as you can see. Whether or not they are for you, I don’t know. My plan for the Roadhouse was to use it for blues, and slide, if I ever get to that level. It also makes a nice little finger picker.
