I bought a new battery from amazon. When I got the s1 I updated the firmware before installing battery.
I charged the battery while trying out the s1 for about a week. I removed the battery and stored it all for a month.
When I reinstalled the battery it was asleep and still fully charged.
I've also had excellent results using the battery with s1 unplugged.

Leave the battery in the S1and store it, checking the battery level with the app every couple of days or a week and see how long it takes to drop to 90%.

I did. It took a couple of weeks to get to 90% (but I was playing guitars, piano, and bluetooth music thru it).
It is now fully charged and is 100% 5 days later.
Note I've been testing and watching the battery because of this thread.
I guess I got a good one https://reverb.com/item/34405902-bos...show_sold=true
