Default Tyler Robbins R1. CA Euro/Malaysian BW : Fine Luthiers

Hi, Folks

Fine Luthiers represents Robbins Guitars of Tyler Robbins as the dealer in Asia.
We’re so proud to do the premiere of his work over here.

This R1 model was ordered for a showcase of Tyler’s work at guitar shows held in China and Japan. It was pre-sold shortly after we announced the build.
Thankfully, the client allowed us to attend the shows with this guitar~

I love my work in this giving care community!

We’ll come back with the build thread once Tyler progresses.

The Spec will be on the next post~

Cheers

Alan

I had the chance to play and hear three of Tyler's guitars last weekend at the Artisan show. Very, very nice in all respects.

And to hear Hiroya Tsukamoto putting Tyler's guitars thru their paces in concert Saturday morning was an unexpected treat.

Default Tyler Robbins R1. CA Euro/Malaysian BW : Fine Luthiers

Hi, Folks

We’re so excited to hear from Tyler this build is officially in progress [emoji4]

Since this one is a showcase guitar for Folks in Asia, we wanted Tyler to unleash his creativity on this R1 model as a canvas! The specs we decided were very minimal as follows;

Spec

Body - R1 with Florentine Cutaway+Arm Bevel
Top - Premium Euro Spruce
B/S - Malaysian Blackwood
Rosette - Unknown
Backstrip - Unknown
End Wedge - Unknown
Top Purfling - Unknown
B&S Purfling - Unknown
Binding - Unknown
Neck - Mahogany
Heelcap - Unknown
Headstock front veneer - Unknown
Headstock back veneer - Unknown
Truss rod Cover - Unknown
Fretboard - Unknown
Bridge - Unknown
Frets - EVO Gold frets

Beginning with the joined Top & Back~

Tyler uses his scientific method to grade tops, and this Euro is the highest quality in his stash.

The back looks very dramatic with the figure and the sapwood in the mid!

Looking forward to seeing more!

Cheers,

Alan

Well, follow the link below to find finished photos.

https://www.robbinsacoustics.com/r1c...ckwood-italian

And the video below is a improvisation play of that guitar.
The lower left corner of the video shows "No EQ, No Reverb, No Effects".
(Probably, they just used a condenser microphone for recording)

It is a bit late to chime in, but we would like to share the build photos here.

Working on the rosette! Tyler comes up with a different design on each build.

Cheers,

Alan
