Default PayPal and other transfer woes

Apologies beforehand if this in the wrong section.

Iíve been having trouble recently receiving payments online for gear Iíve sold. First it was PayPal (I normally avoid using them, endless issues with holds on my account) and now more recently with TransferWise! Not sure if itís just a problem here in Canada but I never seem to get a smooth transaction.

Curious to see what payment methods you use for your gear.

Thanks

I've been using PayPal almost exclusively the past few years with no issues.

I use PayPal mostly, but some international payments via XE.COM. Depending on your supporting bank or credit card accounts, & the amount of the transaction, it's not unusual for PayPal to hold funds until they're convinced the deal is legit.

Sorry, no recent and no past issues that haven't made sense or that were not easy to understand.

When problems occurred the resolution was no fun but it was understandable. One involved a contested eBay sale where the eBay employee didn't understand the letter from 3rd party that assessed the bad item. Slow speed transactions seemed to be about crossing boundaries or our one of the two banks I use always slow compared to the other. Those and others made sense as much as waiting is no fun.

Zelle seems fast but it's a different animal and I don't think with consumer protections you get with an eBay and PayPal or other PayPal transactions.
