Repeats in sheet music... again
Howdy folks,
I was writing out a chart for myself and started wondering... if a song's structure is like AAB, what kind of repeat would you use at the end of A? Would it be a repeat mark or a D.C.-something? Thanks. CZ |

It might need a first and second ending, to signal the coming "B" section, unless it's exactly the same as the first time through the "A" section...

Spending $6 in this little book would be a great investment. It has great explanations of repeats, Coda, D.C. al Coda, D.C. al Fine, D.S. al Coda, D.S. al Fine, etc. which are essential to know for making good charts.
I picked it up at Barnes & Noble, but you can find it on Amazon too --> http://www.amazon.com/Essential-Dict.../dp/0882847309 |
